The ancient craft of batik uses hot wax as a resist to dyes to create artworks and designs on fabric or paper.  Some of these works also incorporate stitch, lace and layering of fabrics or paper.   Claire is currently the chair of the Batik Guild where you can find out more about batik, see their website link below.
